Marie Soueid, JD, is a human rights lawyer based in CVT’s Washington, DC office. She leads CVT’s Transitional Justice Initiative.  Ms. Soueid has conducted pro bono work with the Iraqi Refugee Assistance Project as a Supervising Attorney. Previously, Ms. Soueid worked with the UNROW Human Rights Impact Litigation Clinic and interned with the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights and the Human Rights First Refugee Protection Program. Ms. Soueid graduated from Rutgers with her B.A. in Political Science and Middle Eastern Studies and completed her J.D. at American University Washington College of Law. She also spent time studying abroad in Beirut and can speak three languages, including Arabic.
